April, 1946.

sir,

I am directed by Mr.Secretary Hall to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 25th March reporting the action which has been taken by the Hong Kong Medical Degrees Emergency Committee.

In view of the fact that there are further students of the Medical Faculty possessing the requisite two year qualification who may be eligible for the conferment of degrees later this summer, Mr. Hall agrees that the Committee should adjourn sine die only and that it would be within the

competency of the Committee to exercise its powers in proposing further persons for admission to degrees while leaving to the Chancellor the conferment of them.

T.M. HAZLERIGG, ES., 0.B.E., M.C.
